More floral and more shiso mint with intense, but short citrus burst

Created by perfumer Olivier Pescheux and released in 2019.
middle note is rose;
base note is patchouli.
Announced as a lively chypre scent, this perfume combines sparkling lush rose and scratchy patchouli.
Sounds interesting.
Slightly sweet rose with daring patchouli which gives the fragrance more chypre feeling.
Though the inclusion of bergamot and pink pepper hints it all creates something light and fresh.
In the dry down similar to Frederic Malle’s Portrait of a Lady, but more rosy and without incense.
For fans of modern rose perfumes.

by Lancôme
for women
Idôle is a perfume for women by Lancôme.
Created by three perfumers: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec.
Perfum was launched in 2019 accompanied by the new face of the brand, American actress and singer, Zendaya Coleman.
The opening is a little herbally, something like rose water, but that soon dies down and the watery note is getting stronger. Then it comes sweet sound, in the form of subtle vanilla-cotton candy. After that, rose-watermelon candy transform into lotus and all become linear sweet fruity rose smell with a hint of patchouli.
The ingredient note list is a good combination, but this is still a standard department store perfume.
by Amouage
not for women
Portrayal Man is a perfume by niche brands Amouage.
Created by perfumer Pierre Negrin.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
violet leaf, vetiver and cade as a base.
The perfume composition of Portrayal Man is woody, not only due to the fragrant notes of vetiver and red juniper but also because of variety of the aromatic facets of the violet flower itself, which can range from intoxicating and flowery, dry and woody, sweet and powdery to tart and green.
A very masculine perfume.
Portrayal man opens with a good gust of violet leaf bravado with a touch of bergamot and wrapped in billowing ozonic effects that spin it into a kind of sea-spray impression, but with a rugged, sweaty woody base also making its presence felt.
Not an easy scent.
by Comme des Garcons
for women and men
Copper is a perfume by Comme des Garcons.
Created by perfumer Alienor Massenet.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are ginger, violet leaf, tobacco leaf and metallic notes;
base notes are amber, vanilla and myrrh.
Resinous-smoky scent that opens with an overdose of galbanum. In addition to dried herbal accord in the background occurs slightly metallic aldehydes. Then appear violet and buzzy ginger. Through dried tobacco leaf all becomes sweeter. At the base, with an amber hug, vanilla and myrrh together turn everything into a pleasantly warm nest.
Sound interesting.
Why then would someone atrocious say: 'it's like lying in the grass next to someone wearing excessive suntan lotion'?
by Histoires de Parfums
for women and men
7753 Unexpected Mona is a fragrance for women and men by Histoires de Parfums.
Perfume was launched in 2020.
77 × 53 cm
A hidden number for a hidden smile.
The olfactory composition of 7753 Unexpected Mona opens with a citrus sparkle of Italian bergamot, orange and galbanum made spiced by Ma Khaen berries and Timut pepper alongside a green ivy freshness. In his heart we find a floral collage of tuberose, heliotrope and orange blossom sweetened by pear and accented by blackcurrant buds. The base contains a woody blend of vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli combined with oak moss.
The fragrance is both dark and sunny, sparkling and intense.
by Serge Lutens
for women and men
Des Clous pour une Pelure is a fragrance by Serge Lutens for women and men.
Perfume was launched in 2020.
It is a fragrance from the Les Eaux de Politesse collection.
Aromatic spicy fragrance that offers a pungent and bright fruity effect with a longlasting spicy trail.
Blue juice in a Lutens bottle.
It is an orange peel cologne style fragrance spiced with clove.
In the form of pomanders.
Sounds like the discontinued Orange Spice from Creed
In days of old, the news of a new Lutens release would have sent us all scurrying for samples.
But today... especially for old time fans, all this rebottling and repricing, it’s just confusing, and arouses suspicions of overall reformulation as well.
by BVLGARI
for men
Man Wood Neroli is a perfume by Bvlgari for men.
Created by perfumer Alberto Morillas.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are orange blossom, virginia cedar and cypriol oil or nagarmotha;
base notes are leather, white musk, amber, ambergris and woody notes.
Opening is very similar to Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino.
Bright neroli with smooth citrus and little bit of honey touch.
Refreshing and clean.
The floral note continued to carried itself a bit longer than citrus and mix itself with the woody warm base.
The dry down is decent.
This is mostly a summer scent.
Old-fashion and safe.
Kind of Aqua Di Gio in Neroli world.
by DSquared
for women
Red Wood is an eau de toilette for women by DSquared.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are rose, litchi and magnolia;
base notes are amberwood, cedar and musk.
Lemon and violets on a sharp, powdery musk and cedar woods base. The violets are a bit overpowered by the sharp cedar-lemon-powder. Penetrating and headachy.
Artificiale fruits - not vibrant, not deep and not even syrupy. Just plastic, one dimensional fruits.
This brand has released some great fragrances but Red Wood is not one of them.
Still worth to try this feminine soft violet scent if you like other cosy fragrances like Narciso For Her, Paul Smith Extreme, Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci or Guerlain Meteorites.
by Escentric Molecules
for women and men
Molecule 05 is a fragrance for women and men by Escentric Molecules.
Perfume was launched in 2020.
Created by brand founder and perfumer Geza Schoen.
middle notes are laurel, rosemary, juniper and cypress;
base notes are cistus labdanum and mastic.
Additional notes include basil, hedione, freesia, iris, jasmine, musk, ambroxan and Iso E Super.
And of course, there is around 15% of laboratory creation cashmeran.
Cashmeran has an unusually complex character for a single molecule. It combines a cocooning, musky softness with dry, aromatic woodiness, and a sweet and resinous pine note. Molecule 05, cashmeran, is dry, radiant, warm and woody with an touch of pine resin.
A different kind of summer fragrance.
by Calvin Klein
for women
Euphoria Blush is a fragrance for women by Calvin Klein.
Perfume was launched in 2020.
Created by perfumers Yves Cassar and Jean Marc Chaillan.
middle notes are jasmine, orchid and rose;
base notes are amber, black chocolate and woody elements.
Euphoria Blush follows the trend of 'fresh sensuality' and in the opening offers bitter and sweet fruity notes of raspberry, blackberry and mandarin orange.
The heart of the composition includes the Rose Essential LMR note, as well as jasmine and orchid, rounded with woody deep white amber and black chocolate in the dry down.
A floral woody gourmand fragrance with soft powdery, sour and citrus hints.
by Floris
for women and men
Vert Fougère is a fragrance for women and men by Floris.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
Created by perfumer Nicola Pozzani.
middle notes are lavender, neroli and ginger;
base notes are patchouli, amber, cashmere wood, cedarwood and smoke accord.
It opens with a strong wood ginger and citrus blast and settles into strong wood almost cinder or pencil shaving in quality. The scent is fern smoky. Maybe too smoky. The overpowering tar/smoke in the beginning, and then a strong blast of smoke dries down into... more smoke. The green element is coming from the galbanum, which is from an aromatic gum resin derived from the plant genus Ferula. Is this really for women and men? Because it is too masculine. More suitable for hairy chests.
Definitely worth a sniff.
by Armani
Prive
for women and men
Perfume was launched at the beginning 2020. Created by perfumer Dominique Ropion.
Top notes are salt mineral, pink peppercorn and nashi pear;
middle notes are jasmine, woodland lily and citrus blossom;
base notes are musk, cedar wood and sandalwood.
Kusamono is a Japanese compound word of “grass” and “thing”. It is an artistic floral arrangement meant to capture a specific season. It tries to also evoke a specific kind of natural milieu.
The perfume starts with a mix of pear and pink pepper. A nice way to add some texture to a juicy pear. Then the saltiness begins to crystallize on the jasmine. There is a cleanliness to the fruity floral without going into generic fresh territory. In the end it’s footing on a base of cedar and sandalwood. But, not in a heavy way.
A light perfume.
by Yves Rocher
for women
Sel d'Azur is a feminine perfume by Yves Rocher. The scent was launched in 2019 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Marie Salamagne.
Fragrance notes are citrus, salt crystals, grapefruit, red cedarwood and vetiver. It opens with a sparkling citrus juicy note and bitterness of grapefruit.
In the heart note it goes in the direction of CK One, but it is a bit cooler.
Then gradually it incorporates cedarwood and vetiver. The vetiver adds something sweet and grounded at the same time. There is also some chemicals in the background, likely Iso E Super.
Fresh and citrusy in the opening getting softer and soapier in the dry down. And a little spicy.
Overall, Sel d'Azur leaves a warm impression, despite its citrus atmosphere.
A summer fragrance to enjoy the salty air or walk on the beach. For autumn and winter it is a bit too fresh and cold.
by Van Cleef & Arpels
for women and men
Bois d’Amande is a fragrance by Van Cleef & Arpels for women and men.
Perfume was launched in 2020.
middle note is almond;
base notes are musk and vanilla.
This is a new addition to the brands′s Collection Extraordinaire.
At the beginning there is a soft citric-woody freshness. A sunlit opening top notes including cedar. In the dry down, a soft almond note appears, blending with the cedar, giving it a slight sweetness. Gradually the citric-woody, warm tone recedes and gives more and more room to the powdery almond accord. Finally, the velvety notes of almond and spicy sweet vanilla take over the field. From the beginning the fragrance appears light, inconspicuous, discreet. A nice balanced sweetness, spiciness and woodiness. It nestles softly, almost creamy.
The fragrance for the quiet days, silence and meditation or for walks in the forest
by L'Artisan Parfumeur
for women and men
Couleur Vanille is a fragrance by L'Artisan Parfumeur for women and men.
Perfume was launched in 2020. Created by perfumer Aliénor Massenet.
middle notes are immortelle, vanilla orchid and cashmere wood;
base notes are tolu balsam, Madagascar vanilla, benzoin and musk.
The salt note is so dominant in the opening. A not common salt-vanilla twist follows. With time, the saltiness recedes to the background, letting the warm woods and musk take its place. The bittersweet but almost imperceptible immortelle continues the salty and savory theme of the composition. Vanilla, however, doesn’t leave center stage, and as the perfume dries down, it becomes darker and spicier. It is not too loud vanilla, airy, not cloying and almost herby, but at the same time it smells like cookie, probably because of the salt.
A plain vanilla it is certainly not.
by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur
for women and men
Angelys Pear is a shared fragrance by French niche line Parfums de Nicolaï.
Perfume was launched in 2020. Created by perfumer Patricia de Nicolai.
It opens citrusy and green, with a combination of effervescent lemon, bright bergamot, tangy cassis and an assertive note of freshly cut grass, which announce the realistic pear. Then performs a fruity accord that is cuddled by a tenacious floral heart of jasmine and rose, with the latter enhancing the pear’s own rosiness. The chypre-like base acts like a catalyst to the composition, providing depth and earthiness that somewhat restrain the floralcy, while boosting the fragrance’s gender-neutral character. An oakmoss accord is based mainly on patchouli, labdanum, lentisque and seaweed absolute.
A sweet and fresh fruity floral fragrance with a bit soda water edge.
by Roberto Cavalli
for women
Florence Blossom is a feminine perfume by Roberto Cavalli.
The scent was launched in 2020.
Florence Blossom is a limited edition flanker to 2017's Roberto Cavalli Florence collection.
Newer scents can range from florals to bright citrus, musks, woods, but what many of them have in common is something a bit simpler, fresher, and resembling essential oil blends.
Light citrus, white floral, rose with a tad of fruity sweetness and tartness.
It's a light pink floral-fruity fragrance, quite different from the original Florence one, that had a more mature, flower-opulence. This one smells younger.
It is nice, but nothing ground breaking.
Best suited for spring.
by Givenchy
for men
Gentleman is a fragrance for men by Givenchy.
Perfume was launched in 2018.
Created by perfumers Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson.
middle notes are orris and tolu balm;
base notes are patchouli and black vanilla.
Gentleman Eau de Parfum opens with a strong iris note accompanied by lavender. And this iris-lavender is somehow waxy and strange. The black pepper gives this a bit of a spicy, oriental feel. A pale and fruity Tolu balsam is also present. The base is made of some vanilla fragments. It is dark, but not heavy. This is best used on a cold, romantic evening. It's not for warm weather. Decadent, dark and well blended. It reminds of the Dior Homme Intense or Valentino Uomo Intense.
And last remark. Who the heck is in charge of naming fragrances at Givenchy? They enjoy confusing us.
by Juliette Has a Gun
for women and men
Vanilla Vibes is a fragrance for women and men by Juliette Has a Gun.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are vanilla and orchid;
base notes are bezoin, sandalwood, brown musk and tonka bean.
It is a mix of vanilla and salt. In this case the vanilla is more of a scented hand-soap smell, and the salt is strongly oceanic.
A Dead Sea salt vanilla body scrub.
Good non-offensive office scent or perfume for someone who wants to play it safe, or perhaps a gift for a teen or young adult.
The scent is close to Olympéa by Paco Rabanne, both are youthful and beachy, but Vanilla Vibes is more aquatic, much less floral, a bit less sweet and not at all gourmand.
It's linear, pleasant and wearable. Somehow both a little boring and a little funky.
by The Different Company
for women and men
Into the White is a shared perfume by French niche line The Different Company.
The scent was launched in 2019 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Céline Ellena.
middle notes are lime flower, elder flower and hazel flower;
base notes are tuberose, musk and plum.
The opening of the composition brings the green, milky, and solar combination of neroli, petitgrain and bitter oranges.
In the dry down the delicate blooming bouquet of linden blossom, hazel flowers and elder flowers takes the stage.
The composition ends on tuberose sweetened with the plum accord and embraced with a smooth musky trail.
It's hard to get this limited edition floral fragrance.
Just as hard to say if it's worth looking for.
by Amouage
for women
Love Mimosa is a fragrance for women by Amouage.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
Created by perfumer Elise Benat.
middle notes are mimosa, pear and paradisone;
base notes are ylang ylang, ambrox and heliotrope.
Love Mimosa is part of the Amouage 'Secret Garden' collection. Mimosa is often associated with powder, but it has that honeyed, animalic furry bee underbelly, and Amouage Love Mimosa plays to both facets. Heliotrope, with its meringuelike cherry/almond resonance feels integral and submerged in mimosa. And juicy pear is delicately incorporated with orris for a gauzy halo effect. Heavy hitting ylang ylang and heliotrope stop this scent from becoming a run of the mill fruity aquatic.
It is not an introverted fragrance.
by Thierry Mugler
for women and men
Perfume was launched in 2019.
Top note is gentiana;
middle note is cream;
base notes are amber and woody elements.
It is an aroma highlighted by a bouquet of fragrant sweet, bitter and dry scented tones. This opens almost as an ambergris fragrance. These notes gain intensity on the drydown, when the perfume loses its ambergris vibe to become more of an soft amber floral. The gourmand heart center notes blend in with cream while the deep amber and green base notes leave an impression of woody. A sharp amber in the opening smell like a barber shop, more masculine, but a green woody dry down leans too feminine and sweet. It reminds of an intense version of Ambre Nuit by Dior, yet the floral and sweet notes are more prominent here. It should please those ladies who thought Ambre Nuit wasn't feminine enough for them. A bit soapy oriental woody amber fragrance.
by Versace
for women and men
Cédrat de Diamante is a shared perfume by Versace. The scent was launched in 2019.
Created by perfumer Marie Salamagn.
Cédrat de Diamante is one of six perfumes from the the Atelier Versace collection.
It boasts the zest of Italian lemon, more efflorescent than traditional citrus aromas. A citrus opening top notes including pink grapefruit also. The bright sunshine notes are fanned by a verdant heart of vetiver, grounded by an distinctive cedarwood base. The woody heart center notes blend in with vetiver while the deep woody base notes leave an impression of woody.
It is an aroma highlighted by a bouquet of fragrant dry, woody and citrus scented tones with sour hints.
Interesting but without peculiarities.
by Ralph Lauren
for men
Polo Red Remix is a masculine fragrance by Ralph Lauren.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are red saffron, clary sage and geranium;
base notes are coffe, roasted tonka bean, patchouli and ambery woods.
Polo Red Remix is a limited edition flanker to 2013's Polo Red, and it follows 2018's Polo Red Rush. The face of the advertising campaign was American actor, singer and DJ Ansel Elgort. In the opening immediately the sage stands out. This gives a fresh almost clean laundry type vibe. After the fresh laundry opening this dries down to a nice coffee sweet scent with hints of some kind of powdery woods. Harmless and laconic aromatic woody fragrance that looks like an unnecessary copy of the original Red.
Tries to bring a breath of youth to elders, but it just doesn't work.
by Montale
for women and men
Bengal Oud is a fragrance for women and men by Montale.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
middle notes are iris, jasmin, Bulgarian rose, leather and patchouli;
base notes are amber, cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver and white musk.
In the beginning it is rather the bitter orange that is in the foreground, but after a very short time it recedes benignly into the background. At that moment comes on the scene a slightly wicked and elegant woody-creamy aura.Iris and leather a little dominate here, without the iris bringing in any powderiness. In the end, all what then remains on the skin is a soft coating of fragrant woods with a touch of cream. However, the smell is difficult to perceive as animalistic.
It's also not easy to spot an oud over here.
by Calvin Klein
for women and men
CK Everyone is a shared perfume by Calvin Klein.
The scent was launched in 2020.
Created by perfumer Alberto Morillas.
middle note is blue tea;
base notes are cedarwood, patchouli and amber.
A clean, green, fresh citrus fragrance, CK Everyone is a modern genderless scent. Made from naturally-derived alcohol and infused with ingredients derived from natural origins, making this Calvin Klein's first clean fragrance.
Organic orange oil layers with a bit spicy of the ginger over a heart of blue tea accord and a musky base of cedarwood, creating a simple, uplifting scent.
The deep woody base notes leave an impression of musk and cedar.
Not innovative but still very lovely summery citrus/musk/fresh fragrance.
A little more aqueous and airy than CK One.
by Nina Ricci
for women
Nina Rouge is a fragrance for women by Nina Ricci.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
Created by perfumer Olivier Cresp.
Top notes are raspberry and citron;
middle notes are gardenia and ginger flower;
base notes are vanilla and caramel.
It starts very citrusy, the citron peel note is very prominent and goes well with the juicy raspberry note. Raspberry isn't that prominent, as the official description may imply - it's more red berries or red fruits note. Then it is evolving to a more sweet fruity caramel-vanilla. But, not too sweet. A sour-sweet floral fruity gourmand, inoffensive and easy to wear mood lifter.
by Avon
for women
Live Out Loud is a fragrance for women by Avon.
Perfume was launched in 2019.
Created by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Alexis Grugeon.
middle note is mimosa;
and the base note is vanilla.
Sweet wild strawberry starts and blends with the sparkling mimosa on the base of comforting fluffy vanilla.
Only three fragrance notes.
Sweet feminine strawberry notes intertwined with the vanilla and mimosa. It is typical musky-sweet-vanilla scent that is pretty quiet and absolutely office safe. Kind of feel state. It is 'so loud' that you can safely walk around without any attention to yourself. Live Out Loud smells pleasant and simple. And that's just all there is to it. Except the great eye-catching ad campaign and maybe...
participating in the competition for the most boring perfume bottle.
by Gucci
for women
Bloom Ambrosia di Fiori is a floral-green perfume for women by Gucci.
The fragrance was created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas.
Launched in 2019.
The blend begins with earthy and a bit powdery jasmine bud extract, slightly sweet tuberose, and Rangoon creeper, combined with the rare velvety Tuscan orris root, derived from iris resin as a waxy-fatty twist that intensify the powerful rendition of the satiny Damascus rose.
A flanker suggests a strong and lasting tuberose composition.
Ambrosia di Fiori is similar to the others from Bloom line, but more intense and more mature. Like Tubereuse Mystique from Bvlgari
An immortal potion of feminine white floral.
For the gods.

Designer Perfumes
Designer Perfumes - Some popular perfumes from the famous designers and fragrance houses.
Chanel
The most iconic fragrance of all time. Created back in 1921 by clever French businesswoman. Legend has it that Parisian fashion designer Gabrielle Coco Chanel asked Russian perfumer to the czars Ernest Beaux to create something that smells like a woman, not a flower bed. At the perfume's center is a floral bouquet of rose and jasmine with a touch of vanilla to deepen.
Mugler
It was created by Monsieur Mugler in 1992. According to the brand's website, Angel was the first gourmand fragrance in the history of perfumery, with an iconic blend of patchouli, praline, red berries and vanilla. Highly polarizing perfume, you either love it or hate it. Many popular perfumes today were inspired by Angel. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Prada Candy, Lancome La Vie est Belle.
Guerlain
Shalimar was created by Jacques Guerlain in 1925. It has a full-bodied scent that's made it one of the most recognizable in history-powdery but complimented with notes of vanilla, amber, iris, and bergamot. Oriental/spicy, floral and powdery. This is too strong and too floral perfume geared toward an older crowd. On first spray, you will feel like woman over 70 years old.
Calvin Klein
Created by Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont, CK One was launched in 1994.The fruitiness of pineapple and papaya are anchored with the sharper edge of notes like nutmeg, cardamom, and green tea. CK One is one of the first unisex perfumes in the world. At a time when the world was preparing for the coming of the new century, everything smelled like One. For those who crave a crisp and clean fragrance.
Dior

An early morning scent that should be replaced as the day goes on.
Ralph Lauren

Nice for spring and summer.
Donna Karan
Cashmere Mist is a feminine perfume by Donna Karan, launched in 1994.It is being marketed by Estēe Lauder Companies. Combining the essences of jasmine, lily of the valley, and the freshness of bergamot against a warm background of sandalwood, amber, and musk. Dolce & Gabbana
Light Blue is a feminine perfume by Dolce & Gabbana. The scent was launched in 2001 and was created by Olivier Cresp. Marketed by Shiseido Group. Sparkling fruity floral scent. Lime and cedar. Byredo
Mojave Ghost is floral-woody unisex perfume by Byredo. The scent was launched in 2014. It is being marketed by Manzanita Capital. A ghostly scent, faint, somewhat sweet, no distinguishing notes. Sometimes, there is a trace of smokiness lost in garden of good and evil.
Serge Lutens
La Fille de Berlin is unisex perfume by Serge Lutens. Created by Christopher Sheldrake. A film noir perfume, accented by musky dried rose petals and a dusting of violet powder with spicy black pepper, and grounding musk. Although the image of Marlene Dietrich looms large as we smell La Fille de Berlin, the perfume doesn’t feel retro. A rose with thorns.
Tom Ford
Oud Wood is unisex perfume by Tom Ford. Rare and distinctive, this scent features classic woods and oud. Exotic rose wood and cardamom give way to a smoky blend of rare oud wood, sandalwood, and vetiver. Tonka bean and amber add warmth and sensuality. The scent for a night out. But, anyone who dislikes strange, aggressive, or animalic scents should probably stay away. Not a scent for an office.

Floris
Pink Grapefruit is a shared perfume by Floris. The scent was launched in 2004.
A super-clean, fizzy cologne based on the aroma of freshly squeezed bitter pink grapefruits. In the dry down a risky mix of a bright citrus with sandalwood. This could have resulted in a laundry soap. But whatever, it is a warm weather scent for cooling down, good for summer, and uplifting.

Iris Perfumes
Iris Fragrances - The musky, powdery, almost bitter magic of the iris is a signature in many perfumes. Iris oil is one of the strongest and doesn’t lose its quality over the years. This can come off as old-smelling scent, but, when combined with the right notes, can add a beautiful layer on to a fragrance. Sometimes, the scent of the note of iris is also compared to the scent of wet earth. Such a clean scent it is usually great for formal environments, like the office. Below is a selection of some known iris fragrances.
The Different Company"
Bois d’Iris is a perfume by The Different Company for women and men. It was released in 2000. Created by Jean-Claude Ellena.

Chanel
28 La Pausa is a perfume by Chanel for women. It was released in 2007. Created by Jacques Polge.
A pleasant pure iris note, which is slightly plastic, very dry and evocative of a unique leather. Restrained, classic, a little ethereal, mannered. A very light iris with clear and also light wood at the base. A reticent fragrance that won't come out to play.
Xerjoff
Irisss is a perfume by Xerjoff for women. It was released in 2007.
A big, straightforward orris root fragrance, with a distinct smell of roots, reminiscent of carrots. Not frilly. Some rose emerges in the base. Rich, overwhelming, profound and after all somehow so familiar. Irisss is all about the iris. A bit too much carnation and vetiver.
Guerlain
Après L'Ondée is a perfume by Guerlain for women. It was released in 1906. Created by Jacques Guerlain.
The iris and orris combine with the violet to cancel out most of the floral smell, and cause it to be chemical. After dries down, it is pleasant and wearable. A nice, sweet, gently and somewhat boring scent. Old school licorice floral.
Hermès
Hiris is a perfume by Hermès for women. It was released in 1999. Created by Olivia Giacobetti.

Prada
Infusion d'Iris is a perfume by Prada for women. It was released in 2007. Created by Daniela Andrier.

Serge Lutens
Iris Silver Mist is a perfume by Serge Lutens for women and men. It was released in 1994. Created by Maurice Roucel.

Byredo
Blanche is a perfume by Byredo for women and men. It was released in 2009.

Demeter Fragrance
Paperback is a shared perfume by Demeter Fragrance Library. The scent was launched in 2001.
Without being given the name, anyone could guess that Paperback is supposed to smell like books. It's not unpleasant, but it doesn't smell of paper and dust, or of the places where books live. A restrained weirdly sweetness with a slightly dusty powdery undertone at times.
Byredo
Baudelaire is a shared perfume by Byredo. The scent was launched in 2009.

Juniper berries, nutmeg, coriander, musks, ambery woods and vanilla. It is a nice vanilla scent, easy to wear and a reasonable performer. Smells like Montale Intense Café and Rose Shéhérazade by Première Note. A good scent but kind of redundant.
Jo Malone London
Ginger Biscuit is a shared perfume by Jo Malone London. It was released in 2013. Created by Christine Nagel.
Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, caramel, hazelnut, tonka bean and vanilla. It's like a warm, vanilla buttery sweet biscuit seasoned with nutmeg and ginger spice, and dipped in caramel. More feminine scent. Because in society, men can feel uncomfortable from it's cloying sweetness.

Chanel
Coco Mademoiselle is a perfume by Chanel and was released in 2001. Created by Jacques Polge.
It is a sweet citrus powder, slightly shrill, but with a good, strong note of bitter mandarin peel that slowly dries down to a powder base. Vetiver bestows an herbal edge and gives the sweet fruitiness a “natural” angle. Very sweet floral scent. Charming Oriental.
Donna Karan
Be Delicious is a perfume by Donna Karan and was released in 2004. Created by Maurice Roucel.
In the opening the cucumber grabbed attention right away. Then, a piercing magnolia takes over. It is rather shrill for a brief time. Finally, a greenish, apple-like note, mashed with green-flowers take over. It is safe, fresh-fruity floral. Overall, a bit too bitter.
Tom Ford

White tea, white pepper, and white musk: this is the fragrance equivalence of white noise or simple calcimine. A soapy white musk skin scent with a tea note. It’s light, but not enough to be wholly transparent. Maybe a bit too sharp. And more a feminine scent.
Hugo Boss
Boss Femme is a perfume by Hugo Boss. The scent was launched in 2006.
A nice fresh fruity opening, with mandarin and blackcurrant combining nicely. The heart notes are floral, with a somewhat uninspiring jasmine standing out. The base is generic with fruity hints. This delicate and shy ultra-feminine fragrance is an averagely sharp and watery fruity-floral.

Stella McCartney
Stella is a perfume by Stella McCartney for women. It was released in 2003. Created by Jacques Cavallier.

Elizabeth Arden
Ardenbeauty is a perfume by Elizabeth Arden for women. It was released in 2002. Created by Antoine Lie.

The top-fresh notes collapse quickly to give way to a flat iris note, the silently violet note, and the base is musky ambergris but without the sharpness. A bit of background spice as it starts to dry down. Not amazing, but not bad.
Hermès
Voyage d’Hermès is a perfume by Hermès for women and men. It was released in 2010. Created by Jean-Claude Ellena.
The dominant cardamom notes contrast with ginger, citrus and black pepper accents to result in a easy and friendly fragrance that is not too musky or spicy. Vigorously opening with a nice musky dry down. Maybe it's too light.
Bvlgari
Omnia Crystalline is Eau de Toilette by Bvlgari for women. It was released in 2005. Created by Alberto Morillas.

A very nice yet semi-generic eau de cologne with huge citrus and an almost minty-herbal quality to it. The citrus balanced with rose. In the warm base a musky amber and moss. Seems to go against the spirit of a citrus. A fresh and light lemon-herbal fragrance.
Versace
Versace Versense is a feminine perfume by Versace. The scent was launched in 2009 and it was created by Alberto Morillas.
Starts with a green, fresh citrus note. This citrusy yet sophisticated opening, blended with aromatic patterns dries down quickly to a barely-there wood with some floral hints as well. Dry-down reminds of Encre Noir.
Aquatic, and at times a bit metallic.

Armaf
Club de Nuit Intense for Men is a masculine fragrance by Armaf. The scent was launched in 2015.

Guerlain
L'Homme Idéal Cologne is a masculine fragrance by Guerlain. The scent was launched in 2015 and it was created by Thierry Wasser.

Armani
Armani Code is a perfume by Armani for men. It was released in 2004. Created by Antoine Lie, Antoine Maisondieu and Clement Gavarry.
Citrus, powdery and fresh. Armani Code or Code Black is a nice fragrance of a common designer house theme using spiced citrus over woods and vanilla. Cool, sharply synthetic and powdery. Smells good but at times leans a bit cloying.
Dior
Sauvage is a masculine fragrance by Christian Dior. The scent was launched in 2015 and it was created by François Demachy.

Versace
Versace pour Homme Dylan Blue is a masculine fragrance by Versace. The scent was launched in 2016.

Tom Ford
Tom Ford Noir Extreme is a masculine fragrance by Tom Ford. The scent was launched in 2015.
Orange and Neroli with pleasant spice mix - cardamom mainly. The dry drain takes a floral turn, mainly a rose with undertone of jasmine. The base amps up the sweetness. The rest is a woodsy background and a ambery impression. The opening is quite agreeable, but the base is far too predictable.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Ultra Mâle is a masculine fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier. The scent was launched in 2015 and it was created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian.
The opening is powerful sweet. In the dry down the fruity pear top notes have faded a little and the relaxing vanilla and spicey dry cinnamon can play a part. Layered into the sweet powdery musky base. A too sweet candy.
Carolina Herrera
CH Men Privé is a masculine fragrance by Carolina Herrera. The scent was launched in 2015.
The initial spray gave a bit of grapefruit with small amount of aromatic plants. Lot of cardamom, the watery peppery initial vibe is by soon kind of boozy and definitely dusty/sugary/aromatic. It morphed into a slightly boozy fragrance with a touch of synthetic leather. Dior Fahrenheit.

Good Chemistry
Queen Bee is a feminine perfume by Good Chemistry. The scent was launched in 2018.
The blackcurrant and peony are dominant, especially when it opens. Then a very juicy currant accord reads almost honeyed by the amber notes. The overall tone of this perfume is floral and sweet. Combined with freshness. Not bad for a fresh light floral for someone who likes airiness.
The 7 Virtues
Vanilla Woods is a feminine perfume by The 7 Virtues. The scent was launched in 2018. Created by Angela Stavrevska.

Henry Rose
Fog is a shared perfume by Henry Rose. The scent was launched in 2019. Fog was created by Pascal Gaurin and Yves Cassar.
The fragrance features vetiver and musk. Fog is green, grassy and woody. The musk is soft and clean however strange it may seem. Also, there is some trace of citrus although it's not listed here. One for everyday wear. Fog is a bit of a misnomer
Heretic
Dirty Jasmine is a shared perfume by Heretic Parfums. The scent was launched in 2018 and it was created by Douglas Little.
The fragrance features jasmine, mate and jasmine sambac. Only indolic at the top but this burns off to leave a slightly vanillic jasmine with a dusty mate. Thereby jasmine don't go too hard, it is more light and ladylike. A less airy version of Lutens A la Nuit.

Empower is a shared perfume by Pour le Monde. The scent was launched in 2013.
Lemon, lime, bergamot, orange, grapefruit, spearmint, cassis, basil, lemongrass, orange flower, patchouli, cedar wood and benzoin. Patchouli oil is a bit strong and not very feminine. Through cedar it smells quite musky also. However, it is clean sporty scent with citruses from all over the world.
Osmia Organics
Posso is a shared perfume by Osmia Organics. The scent was launched in 2013.
It contains a base of violet leaf, frankincense, rose absolute, lemon balm, grapefruit, and cedarwood. This scent was originally developed as an aromatherapy blend comprising oils chosen to support self-confidence and ease feelings of insecurity. A subtle mix of therapeutic oils. Crisp and clean.
Strange Invisible Perfumes
Aquarian Rose is a shared perfume by Strange Invisible Perfumes. It was released in 2009.
Crisp, aquatic notes of wild roses brighten a balmy sea of marjoram and sandalwood. It's a light airy rose that feels even a bit stemmy. The marjoram gives a tinge of greenery which stops it being a regular powdery rose. A vivid, contemporary rose, based on a quality material. A little bitter.
Honoré des Prés
Love Coco is a feminine perfume by Honoré de Prés. The scent was launched in 2010 and it was created by Olivia Giacobetti.
A gently spiced coconut milk and coriander leaf with a soft touch of vanilla. More dry and desiccated than moist and luscious coconut. Sweet but not cloying, refreshing but not shower-clean, sunny but not tropical. Vanilla at base is almost imperceptible.
MCMC Fragrances
Garden is a shared perfume by MCMC Fragrances. The scent was launched in 2009. Created by Anne McClain.
Opening with strong lemon and not too bitter orange. Then a fresh red amalgam of thyme with a pleasant peppery myrtle. The dry down is a sweet lavender soap. Regardless of its herbal quality, or just because of it, the perfume reminds a little of herbs listerine.
Rosie Jane
James is a perfume by Rosie Jane for women and men. It was released in 2016.
A blend of floral and earthy essential oils. This is pure and not too green or too crisp gardenia with unseasoned fig. In the background of the drydown, almost imperceptible hint of amber. Cozy and warm but still earthy grounded and light. And sweet almost like honeysuckle flower.

Forest air, violet leaf, pepper, sandalwood and oakmoss. It starts with a salty green violet leaf and some oakmoss. This remains herbal and aquatic. Sandara is supposed to evoke the scent of a forest, but it is closer to a rain covered garden. A little bit hairsprayish.
Lurk

Ambrette seed, black balsam and floral notes. Seductive notes of Ambrette seed intertwine with warming black balsam and succulent florals to produce this vibrant, feral blend. This scent is the root on the wild, green, spicy, mossy, earthy and sweet without being sugary.
Patchouli Perfumes
Patchouli based perfumes - Patchouli is a species of plant from the family Lamiaceae, commonly called the mint or deadnettle family. The plant grows as a bushy herb, reaching around 75 centimetres in height and bearing small, pale pink-white flowers. It is native to tropical regions. The heavy and strong scent of patchouli has been used for centuries in perfumes and, more recently, in incense, insect repellents, and alternative medicines. Once, it was just a sweet hippie scent to mask the smell of cannabis. Actually, it is a base of some of the loveliest perfumes. It's musky, sweet, and dark. Earthy. For some nondurable. But for those who like it, below is a small selection.
Gucci
Gucci Flora : Gorgeous Gardenia is a feminine perfume by Gucci. The scent was launched in 2012.
The gardenia and red berries are brought back to earth by the patchouli. A sweet, fruity top develops into a generic creamy white floral drydown. The patchouli in the base is not very convincing. This is a fresh day fragrance.
Jo Malone
English Pear & Freesia is a perfume by Jo Malone for women. It was released in 2010. Created by Christine Nagel.
There is a decent, quite rosy, freesia that is carried aloft on airy patchouli. Sometimes fruity and slightly sweet floral with hints of green can be too much of a combo for even the most dedicated sweet-scent lovers.
Dior
Patchouli Imperial is a perfume by Dior for men. It was released in 2011. Created by François Demachy.
If you're obsessed with the note of patchouli, this scent is the ultimate earthy and woody smell. The herbal aspect of the patchouli isn't so prominent as the dirty side of it.
Byredo
Bibliothèque is a perfume by Byredo for women and men. It was released in 2017.
The peach and plum top notes give it a robust, while leather and patchouli hold down the bottom end. The heart of violet and peony brings a contrast, adding sweetness and light. Orignally launched as a candle and room spray. Sweets and not much else.
Tom Ford
White Patchouli is a feminine perfume by Tom Ford. The scent was launched in 2008.
Based on mix of rose, patchouli, and sandalwood, but the patchouli is intensely green to the point that it comes off as medicinal. A warm, woody smell with wonderful opening notes and gluey drydown. The fragrance is pleasant and elegant but too much soapy.
Guerlain
Habit Rouge is a perfume by Guerlain for men. It was released in 1965. Created by Jean Paul Guerlain.
A citrus-cedar opening with florals for a light. In continuation patchouli and vanilla combine to make a dark sweetness. Thereby massive vanilla and discreet cedarwood seem to drive it along. These heavily powdered scents smell very dated.
Clinique
Aromatics in White is a feminine perfume by Clinique. The scent was launched in 2014 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Nicolas Beaulieu.
It opens up with heavy cold rose scent, majorly influenced by green patchouli. Accompanied by lots of violet leaf and some pepper, this perfume is all about roses. For cold nights.
Perfumes for a Dinner
Fragrances to wear to a Dinner - Garlic, onion, curry, aromatic veggies like broccoli, cauliflower or cabbage, beer, fish - are among some of the food smells that you do not like to mix with perfumes. You have to be careful in these situations because you don't want to over do it and end up intruding on the meal and party with your scent. You also want to avoid that so you don't suddenly feel self-conscious. It's happened and it's not fun. At the same time, fresh scents sometimes feel too sharp or cold for a dinner party. Below are a couple of possible solutions.
Kenzo

Burberry
Burberry London is a feminine perfume by Burberry. It was launched in 2006. Created by Christophe Laudamiel.
A slightly sweetish routine rose with an overly synthetic honeysuckle. The white floral drydown is heavily jasmine-oriented and leads to the usual standard white musky woodsy base. It'll be too synthetic for experienced connoisseurs but most people will find it pleasant.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian
APOM pour Femme is a feminine perfume by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The scent was launched in 2009 and it was created by Francis Kurkdjian.
A well blended orange blossom and cedarwood. The ylang ylang is not so prominent. The cedar wood just gives this scent an edge cutting into the orange blossom. It's sweet, not too soapy but also not gourmand. It's not a light scent.
Yves Saint Laurent
M7 is a perfume by Yves Saint Laurent for men. It was released in 2011. Created by Alberto Morillas and Jacques Cavallier.
Less brighter, less fruitier and complex than the Original M7. It starts promising but ends down somewhat onedimentional, shy and honeyed. The note of dark patchouli is notable but becomes in a while highly resinous. A little too sweet and soapy.
Bvlgari
Black is a shared perfume by Bvlgari. It was released in 1998. Created by Annick Menardo.
this is just an inoffensive and slightly floral soapy/powdery scent, which, after two hours, yields a tiny hint of vanilla and/or amber. On the whole, it is more light pink than black. It is a pleasant scent, with a linear drydown. Soft, smooth and classy, but boring. Just citrus, amber and musk.
Giorgio Armani
Acqua Di Gio Profumo is a perfume by Giorgio Armani for men. It was released in 2015. Created by Alberto Morillas.
The opening aquatics are joined with a bergamot. The heart notes are composed of a softly green geranium-herbal combined with the still-dominant aquatic note of the opening. The base brings in a hit of incense and patchouli. AdG smells better, but AdG Profumo performs better.

Christian Dior
Poison is a perfume by Christian Dior for women. It was released in 1985. Created by Jean Guichard.

Donna Karan
DKNY Delicious Night is a feminine perfume by Donna Karan. The scent was launched in 2007.
Blackberry, pomelo, ginger, orchid, incense, patchouli and jasmine, all the notes that make up an archetype night-time fragrance. Fruity-floral cocktails drowned into a smooth resinous base of incense patchouli. A dark choice is a nice scent with little lasting power.

Soapy, spicy, sweet, with a hint of incense. This is a fragrance for one loves the coffee/mocha smell. The dry down is a woody, spicy and dark. There is nothing to hate about it.
Lalique
Lalique pour Homme is a masculine fragrance by Lalique. The scent was launched in 1997 and it was created by Maurice Roucel.

Creed
Royal Oud is a shared perfume by Creed. The scent was launched in 2011.
The heart remains very woody, and almost sour/musky with its green underpinnings. In the drydown, becomes a creamy, powdery a bit overloaded sandalwood blend with a slight hint of oud. Yves Saint Laurent
Body Kouros is a perfume by Yves Saint Laurent for men. It was released in 2000. Created by Annick Menardo.

The only point of any depth here is a dark grumbling of coffee in its bowels which adds a margin of interest, otherwise this is just rather late in the day chewy sweetness by numbers. Sweet creamy latte.

Creamy fruity floral. Fresher and less sweet than the original Burberry Her, but the drydown is almost the same. If you love bubbly florals then go for this. A bit boring but still nice for burberry fans.

Annick Goutal
Rose Absolue is a feminine perfume by Annick Goutal. The scent was launched in 1984.
There are various layers of rose. Most are too bitter, sharp and some greenish. There is even a dusky, old rose here. The drydown pretty much leaves soapy slightly rosey clean. This is just too pure, overly sudsy rosewater fragrance. A one note perfume.
Kilian
Good Girl Gone Bad Extreme is a perfume by Kilian for women and men. It was released in 2017. Created by Alberto Morillas.
Opens green and creamy with a slight touch of flowers. Then it middles with a complex white floral before mellowing to a sweetened white musk. This performs much better in cooler weather. Too sweet.
Prada
Infusion de Rose is a feminine perfume by Prada. The scent was launched in 2011 and it was created by Daniela Andrier.
Fresh, green and sweet roses with a mint, tea and mandarin orange mix. But first of all, this is basically a fresh minty luscious rose. Just a nice and unoriginal modern rose fragrance. Very summery.
Givenchy
Very Irresistible is eau de toilette by Givenchy for women. It was released in 2003. Created by Dominique Ropion, Carlos Benaim and Sophie Labbé.
This is quite a heavy scent, in a sharp way. The florals are quite bold underlined with a heavy powdery musk. lntensely sweet oriental. Definitely it's not a daytime scent. Rosy but not smelling like a rose.
Jo Malone London
Red Roses is a perfume by Jo Malone London for women. It was released in 1996. Created by Jo Malone.
Red Roses Cologne have seven different roses in it, so there's not much in the rose world that could have been left out. Heavy, brocaded rose fragrance that goes musty and sour. The violet here is also rich. Almost no sweetness around.
Tom Ford
Café Rose is a perfume by Tom Ford for women and men. It was released in 2012.
Café Rose shakes rose and leathery rubbery saffron over the usual patchouli and sandalwood, with a pinch of kitchen herbs giving some green to the topnotes. A dark rose with a touch of saffron and coffee. Not much coffee though. Semi sweet. Nice patchouli rose, but nothing exceptional.

A mainstream spicy aqueous cedary-floral in which peony and lily of the valley appear initially as dominant notes to the final stage of violet/rose combo, cedary and soother.
Not heavy, not too sweet, but where's the rose?
Byredo
Rose of No Man's Land is a masculine fragrance by Byredo. The scent was launched in 2015.
A clean and refreshing rose scent with a bit pepper. There is a lightly soapy undertone to this rose. Nothing extravagant or feminine.
Not offensive, just a little pedestrian for a niche fragrance.
A terrible name for perfume.
Sandalwood Perfumes
Fragrances with sandalwood in the base notes - The woods are heavy, yellow, and fine-grained, and, unlike many other aromatic woods, they retain their fragrance for decades. Sandalwood is the second-most expensive wood in the world. Sandalwood oil has a distinctive soft, warm, smooth, creamy, and milky precious-wood scent. It imparts a long-lasting, woody base to perfumes from the oriental, woody, fougère, and chypre families, as well as a fixative to floral and citrus fragrances. Its warm notes make it the ideal winter scent and, combined with floral accords, it adds a spicy quality to summer perfumes. Here are some sandalwood fragrances.
Armaf
iDiva Noir is a perfume by Armaf for women. It was released in 2013.
Starts out like a powder bomb but it settles down into something delicate. The scent is sweet-spicy due to the strong and heavy patchouli vibe. Reminds of Clinique Aromatics in White. This is the scent of feminine and elegant women, almost leaning on masculine. Sugery, sweet, fruitchouli, maybe a bit old fashioned.
Floris
Leather Oud is a perfume by Floris for women and men. It was released in 2014.
There is the same ambery mandarin and bergamot opening as the Montale Black Aoud, with a unique and distinctive leather note that will satisfy leather lovers. The heart brings forth rose and geranium. Then the oud takes over supported by traces of vetiver and patchouli. Overflooded with dust.

Santal Blush is a perfume by Tom Ford for women and men. It was released in 2011. Created by Yann Vasnier.
It is a sweet, creamy blend of soft woods, subtle spices and dry benzoin tinged with light florals. An interestingly structured oriental woody composition but ultimately it smells like a creamy sandalwood laced with a sweet balsamic benzoin. The sandalwood is prominent.
Serge Lutens
Santal Majuscule is a perfume by Serge Lutens for women and men. It was released in 2012.
In the initial phase mostly rose and then fruit and spices. The sandalwood/rosewood centered dry down smells more as a creamy and almost chocolatey woody aroma than as a woodsy/rosey one. It's a pleasant scent that is more feminine than masculine. Not too cloyingly sweet.
Diptyque
Tam Dao is a perfume by Diptyque for women and men. It was released in 2003. Created by Daniel Moliere.
Tam Dao starts out dry and reserved, with a touch of spice and a whole dump truck load of cedar. All that wood has quite a bit going on. Bitter but a little sweet, dry but a little damp, cool but a little warm. A creamy sweetness shows up during the dry down.
Guerlain
Samsara is a perfume by Guerlain for women. It was released in 1989. Created by Jean Paul Guerlain.
It uses a range of flavours found in Indian sweet shops. The jasmine overwhelms this at the start. And these sweet notes form the olfactory ground of the construction. Compensated by a synthetic sandalwood. Good balance between warm and dry-crisp elements. A bit too oriental.
By Kilian
Sacred Wood is a perfume by By Kilian for women and men. It was released in 2014. Created by Calice Asancheyev-Becker.
It is peppery lemon, musty dust, fruitpulpy waxy-fleshness, urinic blank wood, citronella, camphor, raw edged woodchip-flavor, cool-minty undertones and a oiliness. Creamy lushness that sandalwood can have, in here it smells more like a sweet bitter almond note.
Chanel
Bois des Iles is a perfume by Chanel for women. It was released in 1926. Created by Ernest Beaux.
The opening is a semi fresh floral and spicy scent with some sweetness in the background. The sweetness is smooth and almost velvety with touch of white and bright floral notes. Nice ylang ylang and creamy sandalwood combo. In the dry down light soapy vibe. Coco's reserved alter ego.

Created by Olivier Gillotin.

Gucci
Gucci Oud is a perfume by Gucci, released in 2014.
Fragrance notes: pear, raspberry, saffron, Bulgarian rose, orange blossom, oud, patchouli, amber and musk. Synthetic woods with a rose and saffron background. Calvin Klein
All is a perfume by Calvin Klein, released in 2017.
Fragrance notes: mandarin, citrus blossom, paradisione, amber, lily, rhubarb, musk and vetiver.
A great introduction. Not too sharp and not too loud, its a well worked accord of citrus and rhubarb that really brings the nose alive. But break down very musky floral followed with a sweet and powdery woody amber.
Spicy Perfumes
The Spicy Perfumes - Sugar and spice and everything nice. Raiding the spice rack for fragrance notes such as cloves, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper, spicy fragrances are alluring in old-fashioned ways. Serge Lutens
Ambre Sultan is a perfume by Serge Lutens for women and men. It was released in 1993. Created by Christopher Sheldrake.
The classic warm amber, combined with sandalwood, myrrh, patchouli and vanilla. And if the green resiny note weren't there it would just smell like unsweet rubbery amber. But it's there, and all looks like a decent piece of work.

Givenchy
Hot Couture is a perfume by Givenchy for women. It was released in 2000. Created by Jacques Cavallier.
There is a slight citrus and vetiver, while the base notes are sandalwood, amber and musk. Smokey and smooth. But, something about the sweetness of it and the spiciness is weird. It is either too spicy or too sweet. A unique scent.
Gucci
Gucci Guilty is a perfume by Gucci for women. It was released in 2010. Created by Aurelien Guichard.

Chanel
Coco is a perfume by Chanel for women. It was released in 1984. Created by Jacques Polge.
Chanel's complex cocktail of spices and florals is a blend of sweet and savory notes, including rose, coriander, orange blossom, and cloves, over a deeper base of woods and vanilla. There is something missing from this perfume. Something provoking or challenging.

After briefly galbanum and dry herb opening, all green notes are mown grass and fresh hay. This greenery is wed to a gentle white flower accord. Moderately sweet, soft, green-tinted floral scent works so hard at being amiable that it flirts with banality.
Bvlgari
Aqua pour Homme Marine is a masculine fragrance by Bvlgari. The scent was launched in 2008 and it was created by Jacques Cavallier.
Watery, salty sea air, freshness. Not sweet with an abundance of blue calone notes. Up close it smells quite fishy but from a distance it smells cleaner. Bulgari Aqua for casual day. More natural at the beginning and then becomes synthetic in the dry down.
Cartier
Eau de Cartier is a perfume by Cartier for women and men. It was released in 2001. Created by Christine Nagel.
It has a citrus-fruity and crisp green opening. The middle starts as a light green herbal chord. The dry-down starts off subtle and initially continues the light herbal-woods note from the middle. A violet scent with a light, herbal quality. Likeable, but short-lived.
Davidoff
Cool Water is a perfume by Davidoff for men. It was released in 1988. Created by Pierre Bourdon.
A fresh lavender, mint and citrus opening that quite soon dries down into the green notes of jasmin and oak moss with a touch of wood. It smells clean and fresh. An inoffensive spring-summer scent. An average synthetic scent. Possibly the most overrated male cologne of all time.
Donna Karan
DKNY Women Energizing is a feminine perfume by Donna Karan. The scent was launched in 2011.
Intense citrus opening. Mostly orange. Sharp but not sour or screechy. Then the tomato leaf and vodka provides a counter balance and adds a little bitterness. The frozen Fanta topped with vodka. Takes long for dry down but when it does its fresh love the orchid, and woody notes.
Tommy Hilfiger
Tommy Girl is a perfume by Tommy Hilfiger for women. It was released in 1996. Created by Calice Asancheyev-Becker.

Vetiver Perfumes
Vetiver in fragrance - Vetiver is a long tropical grass native to India. The grass itself isn’t what’s important though, it’s the long web-like roots that yield the vetiver oil. Oil is all natural and can’t be synthetically replicated. Vetiver is commonly associated with freshness in a scent. With excellent fixative properties, vetiver contains elements of warmth and dryness alongside various earthy, leathery and smoky aspects. A fragrance which also incorporates light, citrusy freshness will add balance and further complexity to this already intricate note. Mainly it is a masculine scent, but it's present in women’s fragrances too. Below is a selection of some known vetiver fragrances.
Byredo
Bal d’Afrique is a perfume by Byredo for women and men. It was released in 2009. Created by Jerome Epinettee.

Montale
Red Vetyver is a perfume by Montale for women and men. It was released in 2008. Created by Pierre Montale.
The textbook combination of bergamot and vetiver with a cedar foundation. Pepper and citrus give it an elevated welcome. An elegant simple aroma which appears unfortunately at the end slightly less natural and interesting.
Lalique
Encre Noire is a perfume by Lalique for men. It was released in 2006. Created by Nathalie Lorson.
A lot of wet vetiver with a bit of smoke from a burning tyre some way off. Nice vetiver scent, but the longevity is quite weak, and a little bit too much iso e super. Encre Noire gives off a vibe of negativity.

Tom Ford
Grey Vetiver is a perfume by Tom Ford for men. It was released in 2009. Created by Harry Fremont.
In this scent vetiver is the dominant note with spice and the gentle orange. But married to nutmeg, everything smells nutty, green, and earthy. It is less of a fresh and more of a deeper fragrance. Maybe, a tad bit late to the party.
Serge Lutens
Vetiver Oriental is a perfume by Serge Lutens for women and men. It was released in 2002. Created by Christopher Sheldrake.
Sandalwood, chocolate and musk all feature before the fragrance rests at vetiver. And the rooty aspects of vetiver is infused with a powdery cocoa note. It's actually a pretty nice cocoa scent.

An opening with pink pepper and notes of cherry. The heart blooms with rose, and the base ends with woody patchouli and sweet vanilla. Lots of vanilla and sticky sugar. Not a unique scent and no mystery with this one. Just plain cherry berry fruity sweet perfume.
Elizabeth Arden
Always Red Femme is a feminine perfume by Elizabeth Arden. The scent was launched in 2016.
The main stars here are black current, peach, and muguet. Base is mostly cedar and vanilla upon drydown. Very mainstream and safe scent. It's quite syrupy and sweet, borderline cloying if too much is sprayed. It's feminine, warm and floral. Maybe a bit old fashioned night out fragrance.
Christian Dior
Poison Girl is a feminine perfume by Christian Dior. The scent was launched in 2016 and it was created by François Demachy.

Annick Goutal
La Violette is a feminine perfume by Annick Goutal. The scent was launched in 2001 and it was created by Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal.
A fresh green floral that includes violet flower and leaf with a piercing rose/raspberry base. A great reference violet scent on paper and when smelling the bottle, but on the skin, it turns into sweet, sugar coated purple lolipop.

Simple juicy lemons and simple sneezingly hot black or white peppers. The drydown is boozy. When peppers gone you got only lemon. It is flat no better than any hundreds or more average bergamot lemon colognes. What's so prive about it?

Oud & Bergamot is a perfume by Jo Malone London for women and men. It was released in 2010. Created by Christine Nagel.
Sour bergamot and mouldering, grassy patchouli combine into a complicated dank green smell, while the oud makes it a little rubbery. After a while, all gets a little peppery, which balances out the musty greens. Week oudy cologne.
Floris
Bergamotto di Positano is a perfume by Floris for women and men. It was released in 2015.
This is a melange of more substantial notes that might forgivably be categorised as a gourmand. Ginger, vanilla, and some florals / blossoms predominate. This is not a warm breeze off the ocean. It is a cozy tea and cookies scent. A very tasty, freshly-baked cookie.
Tom Ford
Venetian Bergamot is a perfume by Tom Ford for women and men. It was released in 2015.
Bergamot and white florals leads to endless soft woods, lactonic sandalwood synths and white musk. The woods are very faint. Overall, the scent is cool and light. And slightly soapy at times. Just another pleasant, unambitious and unnecessary Tom Ford release.
Acqua di Parma
Blu Mediterraneo Bergamotto di Calabria is a perfume by Acqua di Parma for women and men. It was released in 2010.
Powerful citrus opening, not much deep neither rich. Classic summer cologne base of delicate flowers, ginger nad aromatic woods. After a while the vetiver comes into play. Basically a safe and quite cologne like plenty of others.
